The Wall Series
This series of collage works are inspired by my observation of walls in urban European cities, especially in Italy. The images that inspired this work date from the Renaissance to the day before yesterday. I photographed and sketched walls used by people to display posters, and flyers, graffiti, and liturgical fresco art, observing a curious continuity between ancient and modern time

People
People I know and people I would like to know
My people are are no one in particular. That is they are created from amalgam of curious traits, defects, and memories, some of which I can only vaguely recall. I mix them all up in my own little concoction, and presto, they become my friends. So as not to worry about my health, I do have real friends.
Take two of these characters, put them in one picture, and the order of complexity multiplies tenfold ... just like real life.

Genesis Series
As the debate about the origins of man rage on, my thoughts have taken me to another not often explored corner of the subject ... the visual part. Genesis, as a visual phenomenon, to my understanding, defies the laws of rational space. As such, it is a perfect subject for me to explore, since “rational space’ is my least favorite space. The more I tried to capture what I hear in Genesis, the more the imagery reminds me of my dream paintings. That confluence led me to the thought that perhaps the Genesis story and dreams come from the same place. Just a thought.

Dreams Myths and Memories Series
The body of work has evolved from a journal of my dreams gathered over many years. These images represent dream fragments. When I was in my early twenties I began to record my dreams, first with words and later with pictures. Though I have my own ideas as to meaning of my minds subconscious concoctions, more often than not, it is an off the cuff clue from a friend or casual onlooker, that opens my eyes to my own work.
